You're right fireeagle, I'd forgotten the Virgin in Notting Hill. I suspect our paths crossed quite a lot as I regularly went to the Marquee and Temple in Wardour Street (God those place were sweaty), and spent most Sunday afternoon and evenings in the Roundhouse. Being on the north side of Town we used clubs like Red Lion Leytonstone, Wake Arms Epping, Fishmongers etc all the time. Did you go to the Windsor festivals ?

no, i missed them all. got a pretty good hawkwind boot (73-08-29) from the 2nd wff though
what about you, did you go?
since you are from north london (i was on sw side) i gotta mention here some of your north london neighbours - ufo (1st line up w/ mick bolton). ufo was absolutely my favourite live band back then. saw them live dont know how many times, but more than any other band
